IG (Inert Gases)<\/b><\/p>\n

High-pressure pure or mixed gases such as nitrogen, argon, helium, and carbon dioxide are mostly used at 200 or 300 bar in total flooding systems. The aim is to reduce oxygen concentration and stop fire propagation.<\/p>\n

CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carbon dioxide systems add a cooling effect due to the phase change from liquid to gas. The fluid is usually stored in cylinders with a test pressure PH of 250 bar.<\/p>\n

CA (Clean Agents)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clean agents contain an electrically non-conductive extinguishing gas that leaves no residues upon evaporation. There are numerous proprietary mixtures of chemical fluids, such as HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons), which have cooling effects and can intercept the chemical combustion reaction, reducing and extinguishing the fire after cooling the environment.<\/p>\n

Depending on the fluid and system configuration, cylinders can have an operating pressure PW ranging from 42 to 166 bar.<\/p>\n

WM (Water Mist)<\/strong><\/p>\n

High-pressure water mist is a relatively new concept in fire protection systems that has been successful in the last 10 years. A high-pressure gas such as nitrogen is used to create very fine water sprays (e.g., water mist).<\/p>\n

The small water droplets allow the water mist to control, suppress, or extinguish fires by cooling, displacing oxygen by evaporation, and attenuating radiant heat from the small droplets themselves, creating mixed steam and inert gas.<\/p>\n

These systems are highly scalable and usually feature cylinders with nitrogen at 200 or 300 bar, pressure reducers, and cylinders or tanks with pressurized water ranging from 50 to 100 bar.<\/p>\n

Sizes can vary from 5 to 140 liters for nitrogen and from 14 to 180 liters for water, depending on the application.<\/p>\n
